Nice   to meet you!

I'm a UKCP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor, and I work with children, young people, and their parents or caregivers when they need a bit of support with some of life's challenges.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling from Cambridge University and am a clinical member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy

As a integrative counsellor, I understand that the key to successful therapy is building a good working relationship with children & young people and their families , so that they feel supported and safe.

In my work, I am mindful of attachment theory, psychodynamic approaches, and recent discoveries in neuroscience. I integrate play, arts & crafts, psycho-education, story-telling and conversation to help clients explore and express their feelings within the context of a warm therapeutic relationship.

Over the last three years, I have also been part of a team delivering therapeutic interventions to families in Suffolk for the local authority: helping families to develop healthy communication skills, emotional regulation, and positive parenting strategies.  I draw upon this knowledge of systemic work in my private practice too and am happy to support parents and carers in thinking about how wider family dynamics influence their child's well-being.

I have an enhanced DBS and subscribe to the update service.

I am fully insured against malpractice/professional liability, public liability and products liability and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
